Welcome to our Website. We certainly hope you enjoy looking at our dogs of the Past and Present.
Our names are Jill & Wayne (dec) Pearson and we met in 1980 through this wonderful breed. Although we have only been together as a couple since 1998 and we married in 2000, we both have been totally committed over our years of involvement to this fantastic breed. We have three lovely children between us; Wayne has two boys Daniel & Michael and I have a girl Jade. Jade is pictured above winning the Junior Handlers 7yrs – Under 12yrs at the G.R. Club Open Show. Jade is handling “Abbie” – Aust. Ch. Beaucroft By Design.
Wayne and his parents Fay & Derek (dec) Pearson, are well known for their “Jindabo” Golden Retrievers and me with “Beaucroft”. This of course has now become one and we have been very proud of our achievements in the Breed for now over 25 years.
I am Licenced to Judge and award CC’s to Gundogs (A.N.K.C. Group 3 – some 27 breeds) and at Open Show Level for Hounds (Group 4) and Working Dogs (Group 5). Please refer to the subheading “Judging Qualifications” for more specific information.
Beaucroft Golden Retrievers is a very selective kennel and we will continue to strive for Temperament, Quality and Soundness. In recent years, we have introduced some top English & European bloodlines that blend with our foundation stock. We are extremely proud to have bred many Champions in the Show Ring and we are certainly looking forward to the future!!
At “Beaucroft” all our dogs used for stud or breeding purposes are x-rayed and scored by the B.V.A. for Hips and Elbows, they must also possess Clear Heart Certificates and hold Current Clear Eye Certificates. We also test for PRA1 & PRA2 and Ichthyosis. With all this in consideration, one of our main priorities is to breed quality Goldens that exhibit true Golden Retriever temperament and display true breed Hallmarks.
All of our litters we have bred; only one maybe two per year, are raised in our home in a loving and attentive family environment. When they are approximately 5 weeks of age, we move them outdoors to a large puppy enclosure. There they can safely experience and explore the outside world and have much more freedom to play and move about with their Mother and litter mates.
We are current members of The Victorian Canine Association Inc. (Dogs Victoria) , The Golden Retriever Club of Victoria Inc. – Jill is a Past President, Vice President and Committee person and Wayne is also a past Vice President of the Club. We are also members of The Tasmania Canine Association and The Golden Retriever Club of South Australia. Inc. Wayne is also a past President of “The National Golden Retriever Breed Council of Australia”.
